Strong-Bow

The 1998 Waterford International Masterclass Festival got underway with a tremendously enthusiastic audience at the opening concert in the Good Shepherd Chapel on Thursday August 13th 1998, with Dutch violinist Gwendoline Masin playing encores for a standing ovation.

Getting into the spirit of the festival are Gwendolyn and German violinist Christian Tecklenborg, dressed as Waterfords Strongbow and Aoife. They drew crowds at Dublins Grafton Street when they stopped off to pay tribute to Molly Malone while on their way to Waterford.
